Q: What is the Industrial Marketing Summit?
Adam Beck: This summit is the first-ever event geared toward industrial marketers. We have partnered with Content Marketing World to create this entire day filled with networking and sessions for sales and marketing professionals in the industrial space. It’s a perfect way for our clients and friends to come together, have fun and learn something new from their peers that will help them to promote and grow their businesses.
Q: Who will be there?
A: This event is for any manufacturing leader, business owner, or marketing professional who wants to see what’s happening in industrial marketing. We’re expecting 100+ people at the Friday event, and all are welcome to our networking event Thursday evening at Masthead. More on that later. You can learn more about our five speakers below.
Q: Why should I go to this event?
A: The Industrial Marketing Summit is something new and different. The event features 5 speakers what are seasoned experts in their field. These sessions will show real-world success stories and offer industry-specific marketing strategies. This is an opportunity to connect with others in the industrial space; it is not a sales event for us. We’re shining the light on our 5 speakers and providing a learning opportunity for our community.
Q: Tell me more about the speakers!
Keynote 1: Todd Henry from Accidental Creative – best-selling author and speaker for creatives and managers. He works with business leaders to help them improve their team’s creativity, productivity, and overall content effectiveness.
Keynote 2: Achinta Mitra from Tiecas, Inc. – a renowned thought-leader in the online industrial marketing space. He’s the owner and Chief Content Creator of the blog Industrial Marketing Today, and he’s been in the industry for 30+ years.
Speaker 1: John Joyce from Brennan – global marketing director and all-around creative. In his session, he’s going to share his strategy for how he increased leads by 800% with content marketing.
Speaker 2: Lara Schneider from Toshiba – she oversees all product marketing activities from sales enablement to content to execution. She’s covering the type of content that meets the needs of engineers in the buying process.
Speaker 3: Kerry Nedic from Emerson – marketing leader with a ton of experience. Her session will talk about the industrial customer journey and how the manufacturer’s sales team fits into that.
Q: Why partner with Content Marketing World?
A: Content Marketing World is one of the largest events specifically for sales and marketing professionals. The Content Marketing Institute, the group that puts on this event, is a “well-oiled machine” – they’ve done this before, and their event provides extra value to our guests. This way, our guests with the 3-day pass can explore the different tracks, sessions and speakers Content Marketing World has lined-up, including Mindy Kaling, Henry Rollins and Marcus Sheridan.
Q: How can I register?
A: It’s easy, follow this link to our event page, and you’ll see two buttons near the top – one for the 3-day pass and the other just for Friday, the Industrial Marketing Summit. Clicking either of these buttons will take you to Content Marketing World’ registration page. We’ve partnered with them to host this event, so they are handling all the registration and hotels.
Q: What’s included in the 3-Day registration?
A: The 3-Day pass gives you full access to Content Marketing World’s keynotes and sessions Wednesday through Friday (Sept. 4-6). You also get to go to all the before- and after-hours events, like the kickoff party Tuesday evening at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. There’s expected to be 4,000 people at the event and 225 speakers, so there’s a lot to see and learn in just three days.

Q: What’ the price?
- 3-Day Pass without code: $2,399 currently
- 3-Day Pass with code: $900
- 1-Day Pass for the Summit: $699
Q: How do I book a hotel?
A: After you’ve registered, you’ll receive an email from “CMWorld 2019” – this has a link and instructions to book your hotel. The Hilton Cleveland Downtown is the closest.
There are several hotels within 10-minute walking distance; you don’t have to stay at a hotel though. There is plenty of parking around East 9th St.
Q: What is the event at Masthead?
A: We rented out part of Masthead’s downtown brewery to give our friends and fellow marketers a designated space to socialize, grab a drink and unwind after an eventful day at Content Marketing World.
Every attendee will receive 2 free beer tickets upon arrival. We are ordering the pizza and snacks from Masthead ahead of time, but you have your choice of Masthead’s full beer and drink menu. This is a casual event, so wear whatever you’d like. That said, if you’re coming from work and will be in a tux, you won’t be alone.

Q: How do I get to Masthead?
A: We are providing transportation to and from the Cleveland Convention Center. Look for our Lolly the Trolley at the Lakeside Ave. E entrance to the convention center (you’ll be facing Lake Erie). There will be a sign on the trolley for our event (look for our Industrial Marketing Summit logo!). You do not need to show anything to ride the trolley.
