Know your PARTsolutions team: Adam Beck

Describe your role at CADENAS PARTsolutions:

As the Marketing Manager I am responsible for much of the external communication. I spend a lot of time working on our website, email and marketing collateral.

Tell us about some of the day to day challenges and/or perks of your job: I really enjoy what I do. I get the opportunity to exercise a lot of creativity in many different mediums. Getting to work and learn from this great group at PARTsolutions is also a real bonus. The challenges are the fun part, coming up with unique ideas and last minute deadlines always helps keep it interesting.

Tell us about your education and background:

I studied Marketing at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and worked in the field for nearly twelve years. I have worked for several companies in the automotive and manufacturing industries. I returned to school in 2005 to learn custom automotive fabrication, something which I have done professionally, but usually I have more fun working on my own projects. I was married last September to my wife Stephanie, we live in Springboro, just south of Dayton Ohio.

Favorite movie? The Gumball Rally (1976), Tombstone, Terminator 2, Dumb & Dumber

Best vacation ever? My honeymoon last year to northern California was pretty awesome, we saw San Francisco, Monterey and Napa.

Last book I read? Tom Clancy – Rainbow Six

Where did you go to school? Miami University in Oxford, Ohio

Kids? Nope

Pets? A dog named Hudson (Australian Shepherd Mix) and a black cat named Astro (after the mini-van)

What you do for fun? Working on old Hot Rods, building guitars from scratch and plenty of home-improvement projects.

Sports Teams? Cincinnati Bengals and Reds of course, also an Indiana Pacers fan (they’re the closest to us in Dayton, Ohio) and I’m a big Formula 1 fan.

Food I can’t live without? Artichokes!

Favorite TV show? Seinfeld, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead

Celebrity I’d most like to meet? Slash, Kimi Raikkonen or Christopher Walken

Years in the area? I grew up in Dayton and lived near there for 21 years, until I graduated from college. I moved to Honolulu, Pittsburgh and San Diego over the next 10 years. It’s great to be back!

Favorite band? Guns N Roses, The White Stripes, Led Zeppelin, The Black Keys, the Black Crowes

Something most people don’t know about you? In college I was the drummer in a Hard-Rock cover band called “Mutha Trucka”
