NAS Fasteners: AIA Launch New Video For the Digital 3D Standard
Video Highlights the Business Case and Benefits of the New 3D NAS Fasteners
This year, the AIA along with their partners CADENAS PARTsolutions and IHS, created and launched the 3D CAD catalog of the AIA NAS Fasteners. This week they have launched and all new video announcing the 3D NAS Fasteners to the world.
What’s it all really mean?
In short, it means the standards, which engineers had to redraw into their design while referencing a paper or PDF document, are now available digitally. Now, designers can configure the part they need and drop it right into their design. These models are available in more than 150 CAD and graphic formats, verisons and revisions. Designers won’t have to make-due with a “close enough” part, the certified model will be native to their CAD system. NAS Fasteners will be available in Autodesk Inventor, Siemens Solid Edge, Dessault systems Solid Works, Dessault Systems Catia, PTC CREO, Siemens NX and many more.
How’s it work?
Well, that’s pretty easy. Businesses who already subscribe to the paper or PDF versions of the AIA NAS fasteners can simply contact their rep and get an upgrade. If you don’t currently subscribe to the NAS fasteners, just contact CADENAS PARTsolutions or IHS, and we will get you set up.
