Manufacturers enjoy worry-free technology with CAD / BIM compatibility by eCATALOGsolutions
By maintaining the underlying catalog technology and keeping the formats current, CADENAS has ensured manufacturers have one less thing to worry about. With eCATALOGsolutions, the content is built to last for years into the future. Each manufacturer’s 3D content works with the latest CAD and BIM versions, formats, and revisions because CADENAS continually maintains compatibility. The content infrastructure also keeps pace with changes to browser technology, new devices, and operating systems, providing stability for manufacturer websites delivering 3D visualization and configuration.
Meet Customer Demands & Keep Them Coming Back for More
Getting “designed-in” is key for manufacturers because up to 82% of downloads ultimately convert to a sale. Designers, engineers, and purchasers need the ability to configure and download product data, and they want it to come directly from manufacturers in the native CAD formats they prefer. When manufacturer information is embedded into the product model and identified within the bill of materials, products are easier to source and become specified sooner in the design process.
CAD / BIM Outputs to 150+ Formats and Versions
By providing content in the native CAD / BIM formats, manufacturers can meet the needs of a wider audience across a variety of industries. Engineers, architects, and designers need high-quality product data in the native format of their design system for a variety of reasons. Aside from providing a better experience, delivering native CAD content also benefits the manufacturers. Providing these native formats ensures a manufacturer’s brand name and part number are delivered within the CAD or BIM model and placed within the BOM, so purchasing knows where to buy the product when the project is complete.
