Tell us about your role at CADENAS PARTsolutions:
technical lead & all things BIM –As the Director of Business Solutions for BIM solutions, I’ll be the technical lead and resource for all things BIM. I will be helping and answering questions our clients and manufacturers have so that they can understand and get started with BIM. I really love to educate and help people understand, and with all that’s happening with BIM in the industry now, it’s an exciting time to do this.
What are you most looking forward to in this new role?
What’s unique about this role and working with CADENAS is that we have the unique ability to provide the full engineering package.
For years, we’ve been working on the part level and what’s relevant to component manufacturers and CAD engineers. Now with PARTsolutions, BIMsolutions and eCATALOGsolutions, we can create a single silo for all this information, which will really help manufacturers provide the best information possible, whether it’s CAD or BIM or a team looking to streamline their parts library.
The “Lightning Round”
Favorite movie: Wow… So many to choose from… Top 5 though (in no particular order)
- Tron Legacy
- Wall-E
- The Good the Bad and the Ugly
- Silence of the Lambs
- The Usual Suspects
Best vacation ever: The island of Kauai in Hawaii in 2012, where I asked my wife to marry me on a beach in the south pacific under the stars during the peak of the Perseids meteor shower.
What do you do for fun? I’m a foodie… I cook, bake, watch ice hockey (HUGE Boston Bruins fan), mountain bike, enjoy the outdoors, work on my house and land (yes, that’s actually fun and relaxing to me), and whenever possible, get down to Walt Disney World; the happiest place on earth.
Food you can’t live without: I don’t know if there is a food that I can’t live without, but I am a big fan of pizza, bagels, and Italian food. I also love German food, but it’s tough to find a decent place for it. What I CAN live without though is fast food. I avoid it as much as possible.
Favorite TV show: I’m not a huge TV watcher, except in the winter, when we’re glued to the Bruins. I liked many of the long running series though. Currently I am watching Tin Star on Amazon Prime, loved Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Deadwood and Shameless to name a few.
