Get to Know Your PARTsolutions Team: Erik Clark
Give a Warm Welcome to Our New Project Manager
We’re kicking off the second half of 2018 with an awesome new addition to the CADENAS PARTsolutions team: Erik Clark.
Erik joins our Technical Team as a new Project Manager. With a background in 3D software and animation, management and industrial design, Erik will be a huge support our many customers and projects.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, he recently flipped a house in Westchester with his wife Lindsey, where they’ve lived for over a year! When he’s not rehabbing his home, you can probably find him playing golf or working on his car for his next SCCA race.
Tell us about your role at CADENAS PARTsolutions:
My main role is to maintain and manage technical projects. I’ll be working with the Technical Team and our customers to help them find the solutions they need and to keep their projects and implementations running smoothly.
What are some of the day-to-day challenges of your job?
Starting out, I think my biggest challenge with be learning the lingo. There are a ton of acronyms to remember, so right now that’s the trickiest part.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I’m really excited to be working with 3D software again. I received by BFA in 3D Animation and Media Arts from the Art Institute of Ohio, so I am eager to be using 3D software and assisting our customers with it as well.
Where did you grow up/ go to school?
I was homeschooled from K-12, which allowed me to go on a lot of great field trips, visit museums and watch plays more often than most. But that also meant most of our family vacations were also field trips! Before going to the Art Institute of Ohio I received my Associate degree from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and received a scholarship to OSU.
The “Lightning Round”:
Favorite movie?
Blade Runner, the original with Harrison Ford and Rutger Hauer.
Best vacation ever?
About ten years ago, I toured Europe with my brother – that was amazing. We made our own itinerary and stayed mostly in hostels and B&Bs.
Last book you read?
The Hobbit.
What do you do for fun?
I like to play golf and basketball, and I enjoy video games. I also really like to work on my car and race in SCCA (Sports Car Club of America), which is when they create a course and you race against the time rather than other racers.
Food you can’t live without?
Korean food.
Favorite TV show?
I just caught up on Westworld, so I’d have to stay that’s at the top right now.
Favorite band?
I like a lot of different styles of music, anything from mewithoutYou to Childish Gambino.
