Say Hello to our New Senior Business Development Consultant

Welcome to the CADENAS PARTsolutions Team, Chuck Austin! Chuck joins our team as the Senior Business Development Consultant representing CADENAS PARTsolutions to our Strategic Parts Management clients and partners.

With 35+ years of experience at IHS Markit, Chuck brings his deep expertise to PARTsolutions. He’s has experience working with the U.S. Government, NASA, and Standards Development Organizations like AIA, ASME and SAE and will be the go-to expert for clients who want to learn more about standards.

He lives in Huntsville, Alabama with his wife. When he’s not working, he’s taking on the joy of being a grandpa to his four young grandkids

Where did you grow up/ go to school?

I grew up between Texas and Colorado and graduated college from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. My dad was a professor there, and I loved it. I’ve lived in Huntsville now for the last 20+ years.

Tell us about your role at CADENAS PARTsolutions:

I connect the Strategic Parts Management team at CADENAS PARTsolutions with our partners in standards, namely IHS Markit, AIA, ASME and SAE.

What are you most looking forward to in this new role?

I’m really excited to be a part of the CADENAS PARTsolutions team because of the company culture. This is a company that practices what they preach: teamwork, open communication, transparency and doing what’s right by the customer. It was evident to me that it’s not just a tagline but is part of the culture at this company.

Favorite movie: Dances with Wolves is one, Gone with the Wind is the other.

Best vacation ever: A vacation to Hawaii, Oahu and Maui, is probably my favorite!

What are your favorite hobbies? Golf and reading are my two biggest hobbies. I like reading lots of things, old westerns, murder mysteries, nonfiction… just depends on what sparks my interest!

Food you can’t live without: Being a good southern boy, beans and cornbread have been a favorite for me from the time as I was a small boy, to the boy I am today.

Favorite TV show: The Yellowstone. It’s about a dysfunctional family that owns a large ranch out West. My wife and I watch it on Paramount Network.

Favorite band: I have a great deal of difficulty picking a favorite. Three Dog Night and The Doobie Brothers are both up there.
