Festo Online Design Tool – Configure 3D Assembled Products in Seconds

Simple product selection, transparent prices, and fast delivery times

The Festo Design Tool 3D has been available to customers as an offline version since 2014, requiring just a few steps to install. Using the configuration software, design engineers can select components in 3D, create and automate product combinations and receive instant prices and delivery times.

Now, they can do all this online.

The new online platform enables customers to quickly design drives with accessories and save parts lists for future designs. When ready to download their design, they can then choose from over 100 CAD formats to download assembled parts as native CAD models.

Additionally, the Festo Design Tool 3D and online version make product portfolios available for faster delivery of standard components, like cylinders in the ADN and DRRD series.

Minimizing errors and documentation

The interactive design tool also minimizes errors and simplifies tracing when designing and ordering assembled products.

After configuration, the online tool generates an order ID for the assembled products and adds that directly to the Festo shopping cart. This order ID also simplifies delivery and installation of system assemblies by providing shorter parts lists and only one order code.

Festo’s online configurator also decreases documentation and simplifies tracing. Design engineers can generate PDF assembly drawings and parts lists to share with their teams and purchasing department. Customers can also trace components in the support portal, using the generated order codes.

Take your business online with an online design tool

Festo knew their customers lived and worked online, so they created a customer-friendly solution to meet them there. Not only does this tool meet design engineer’s heightened online expectations, but it surpasses what any of Festo’s customers are doing in the space.
