CADENAS Offers Millions of 3D CAD Models for Autodesk® Fusion 360™
Cloud-based Integration with PARTcommunity Mobile Gives Engineers Instant Access to Hundreds of Manufacturer CAD Parts Library
Las Vegas, NV – December 3, 2013 – Today at Autodesk University 2013, CADENAS unveiled a new integration with cloud-based modeling software Autodesk® Fusion 360™, giving designers direct access to hundreds of manufacturer catalogs and millions of 3D CAD models via the cloud-based download portal PARTcommunity mobile.
Fusion 360™ is the next-generation 3D CAD design solution from Autodesk®. The web-based platform expands design capability by offering a single toolset combining industrial and mechanical design with online collaboration in an easy-to-use package. Designers have access to designs anytime, anywhere from a Mac, Windows PC, or mobile devices.
Instant Access to Millions of 3D CAD models
A key component of the Fusion 360™ platform is the newly integrated library of authorized supplier parts, built by CADENAS. This integration provides Fusion 360™ users with direct access to 3D CAD models from more than 400 industrial manufacturers. The CAD parts library brings added functionality by pre-populating a catalog of standard and supplier parts for use within user interface, shortening design time and increasing design accuracy.
“It’s been great working with the Autodesk team to extend the capabilities in the cloud,” said Walter Leder, VP of CADENAS. “Providing access to top quality CAD models from the world’s leading suppliers through our PARTcommunity mobile makes it even easier for industrial and mechanical engineers to complete their designs.”
PARTcommunity mobile, now available in the Autodesk® App Store, offers users instant access to top-quality digital parts models from leading component manufacturers including ABB, Baldor, Bosch Rexroth, Cooper, Eaton, HBM, IDEC, Mädler, Schneider Electric, Schunk, SMC, Toshiba, Würth, Yamaha and many more. Parts categories include springs, motors, gears, cylinders, hydraulics, factory automation, tooling, work holding as well as plant design, electrical engineering and more.
