What’s up with the 3D Glasses? How Industrial Marketers are Using 3D to Drive More Leads
We have all seen ad’s and promotions that have NOTHING to do with the product they are trying to promote. The Levi’s commercial that never shows any pants. The rabbit in the Cadburry candy commercial, or the Pepsi commercial focused on that supermodel the whole time and not a drop of cola to be seen.
Which reminds me…have you seen this awesome 3D picture of our new SR-71 jet?
I apologize. That was completely off topic and no, we don’t have a SR-71 jet. But they are pretty awesome. If you had some of our 3D glasses the photo above would blow your mind. That’s the point. It’s all about grabbing the viewer’s attention.
It isn’t always practical to have a supermodel promoting your products, especially for a B2B business, but these “attention grabbing” tactics have been used since the dawn of marketing because…they work. These extreme examples are really only available for those marketing retail products. So, how can this principle work for the B2B business?
We have been asked a lot lately: “What’s up with the PARTsolutions 3D glasses? Are we going to watch the Creature from the Black Lagoon or what?” Well YOU ASKED so apparently they’re doing their job.
Just like the SR-71 above, it’s a conversation starter.
As many of you already know, CADENAS PARTsolutions has been building 3D CAD models and 3D part configurators for more than 20 years, but none of them have been featured in your local Cineplex. It’s just not that kind of 3D…but it can be.
CADENAS PARTsolutions has the capability to create stunning 3D digital models of your products and offer them online in nearly every CAD format imaginable. (see left) This way engineers and designers can download your parts straight from the web and plug them into their design. This leads increased sales because your part has already been spec’d into the design before the customer has even purchased (hint: it’s another way to MARKET your products online).
Cool, but where’s the SIZZLE?
CADENAS PARTsolutions knows that sometimes in order to break through the noise you have to do something LOUD to grab your customer’s attention. We know our standard 3D models are extremely cool, but they don’t always jump out and grab you in a marketing type of way.
But if you saw a crowd of people at your favorite tradeshow, huddled around a big screen watching your product like it was “House of Wax” (the classic 3D movie starring Vincent Price) you would see things differently.
With CADENAS PARTsolutions new Stereoscopic 3D technology we can captivate your audience by creating visually stunning 3D models for use in print media, in your online configurator OR via Xbox Kinect at your next trade show. Create an experience that gives you the opportunity to connect with your customers, and the downloads (sales) will follow.
