Know Your PARTsolutions Team: Ryan Boyd

Meet Ryan Boyd, a Technical Consultant at CADENAS PARTsolutions!

Working from his hometown in Muskegon, Michigan where he lives with his wife Karla and two sons, Ryan loves to provide our PARTsolutions customers with the best customer service possible. Not only does Ryan assist half of all our customers with their technical hiccups, but he also has his hands full with two lively boys, Trevor (3) and Luke (9 months). On a trip down to our headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, we asked Ryan to share with us a little more about himself and his work 

Tell us about your role at CADENAS PARTsolutions?

I am a Technical Consultant, which interact with many of our customers and assist them with any questions or errors they come across with their catalog. In other words, I work as a mediator between our US customers and our technology team in Croatia; if there’s a problem, I help our customers find the solution

What are some of the day to day challenges of your job?

Prioritizing. My job can get hectic, so the biggest challenge is figuring out what can be taken care of now, and what can wait. Overall, I want to give everyone the best customer experience possible, and prioritizing definitely effects that

What is your favorite part of your job?

Getting something accomplished for a customer – whether it’s getting someone online, seeing someone on our website, or watching those leads come into their system – that is a great feeling.

Where did you grow up / go to school?

I’ve always lived in or around Muskegon, Michigan; I’m five minutes from Lake Michigan, and I just love this area.

 Favorite movie?

Anything from Marvel, especially the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and Thor: Ragnarok

Best vacation ever?

That’s hard. My wife and I took a trip to Alaska in early 2012. Anchorage was cool and reminded me of cities around where I live, but just outside of that, the state was scenic and beautiful.

What do you like to read?

I read a lot of Clay Travis’s articles – I enjoy his writing style.

What I do for fun? 

I like playing hockey in the winter, playing softball, watching the Detroit Tiger or the Lions, and fishing

Food I can’t live without?

Anything seafood, especially crab legs or perch

Favorite TV show?

I like Mr. Robot, House of Cards, and Game of Thrones (I’m not caught up yet, and I haven’t gone looking for the spoilers!)

Nickname?

Some people call me Ry-Guy or Boyd; I also had a high school teacher call me Floyd, which sort-of stuck, too

Anything country music like Chris Stapleton, Garth Brooks, and Brooks & Dun
