Introducing John, Our Newest Team Member and Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast

Welcome to the CADENAS PARTsolutions Team, John West! John joins our team as the Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast U.S.

With his background in engineering and 20+ years of sales experience in the automation industry, John brings a lot of experience and talent to the eCATALOGsolutions team. He is also a certified rescue diver and coaches hurdles for track and field athletes.

John will be working remotely out of New Jersey, where he lives with his wife Karen.

Where did you grow up?

I live in central New Jersey, just 20 minutes from where I grew up in Allentown, NJ. It’s the not New Jersey you think of when you think about New York City and Jersey City. It’s much more rural and quieter here, and we’re still within half an hour of the Atlantic Coast. It’s more considered South Jersey.

Tell us about your role at CADENAS PARTsolutions:

I’m the Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast, so that includes Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Delaware.

What are you most looking forward to in this new role?

I’ve been in this industry for a while, so I’m very familiar with the products, goals and challenges that our clients have. I’m looking forward to utilizing my experience to help our clients solve their problems and better understand what they can do with our eCATALOGsolutions platform.

The “Lightning Round”

Favorite movie: I don’t know if I have a favorite movie, but one of the ones that comes to mind right now is Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

Best vacation ever: I’ve been to Tahiti twice now, and it’s easily my favorite. Last time I was there I went diving with black-tipped sharks and was able to put my certified rescue diver skills to use. It was an incredible experience.

What are your favorite hobbies? I’ve always wanted to be a scuba diver and became a certified rescue diver. I try to play golf, and I also coach track and field athletes by doing hurdle clinics with high schoolers, university runners, and sometimes Olympians.

Food you can’t live without: Italian food. I also love fresh seafood.

Favorite TV show: Modern Family – my favorite character is Jay.

Favorite band/singer: Ed Sheeran and Faith Hill for singers, and probably the Eagles and Little Big Town for favorite bands.
