Bosch Rexroth Adds System Configurator for Electric Axis, CytroMotion
Configurable 3D CAD models of the self-contained actuators CytroMotion are available for download.
CADENAS and Bosch Rexroth are working together to provide configurable 3D CAD models of the self-contained actuators, CytroMotion. Designers can now configure CytroMotion products online and download 3D CAD models.
During the 2022 German trade fair Hannover Messe, Bosch Rexroth introduced the product innovation CytroMotion. CytroMotion is a new, self-contained actuator in a compact design. Depending on the use, CytroMotion can be configured with different motors, cylinders and pumps.
Bosch Rexroth and CADENAS developed a 3D CAD configurator for customers and prospects to configure CytroMotion products in only a few steps and to fit the CAD model in a suitable format for engineers’ designs.
Easy configuration and downloads in many common CAD formats
“For engineering, it is crucial to identify the suitable product early during the process. The CADENAS configurators aid us in this very much,“ Richard Linke, Product Owner of Digital Machine Engineering at Bosch Rexroth, said.
Users can configure CytroMotion and examine their specifications as a 3D preview at the Bosch Rexroth website. Because of that, they can identify and correct potential sources of error early in the process.
By using filter assistants, the 3D CAD configurator helps users find the appropriate parameters. Afterward, the propulsion system’s product data is available in more than 150 current neutral and native CAD formats, like Solid Edge®, Creo Parametric™, Autodesk® Inventor®, AutoCAD® or SolidWorks®. Customers can then integrate these formats directly into their CAD systems.
Transferring product information automatically saves time in managing data
Along with the stand-alone axis CytroMotion, many other Bosch Rexroth hydraulic components are available as intelligent 3D CAD models. The product models contain detailed mechanic and electrotechnical information like color, kinematic data, and electric connections.
Users can assemble components individually and generate CAD models in common CAD and CAE formats analogous to CytroMotion. All component information can be communicated directly into the bill of materials and the PLM system.
“Our customers can optimize their construction processes and save time designing and managing data in different PDM, PLM, and ERP systems because of our service,” Linke said.
Beyond 3D CAD models, users can download product data as PDF datasheets that contain all important information.
The multi-CAD data in Bosch Rexroth’s new 3D CAD Service improves internal process optimization, like central generation of product data, and cost-effective data maintenance.
