Clamp and Tool Manufacturer Provides Simple Path to 3D Standard Parts and Configurable CAD Models via PARTcommunity

Founded in 1889, as a bright steel drawing plant (also known as cold-rolled steel) in Stuttgart, BESSEY Tool has continuously expanded the range of products and service it offers. Now located in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany, BESSEY Tool produces more than 1200 products and is among the largest clamping and cutting tool manufacturers in the world, with a presence in over 100 countries. Their clamps are commonly used to hold work pieces of varying thickness, and can be clamped with almost constant clamping force without manually changing the pressing screw position.

Since the beginning of 2016, the company has been offering engineers and purchasers digital 3D engineering data via an online Electronic Product Catalog built on CADENAS PARTsolutions eCATALOGsolutions platform.

The Goal: Make it easy for users to access 3D CAD data

Cooperation with CADENAS PARTsolutions was a well-researched decision from BESSEY Tool: “Through contact with different design offices and departments of industrial companies, our attention was drawn to CADENAS PARTsolutions and the 3D CAD model download portal PARTcommunity”, Rainer Steinle explains, Product Marketing Manager at BESSEY Tool GmbH & Co.
