Sales Engineer, Enterprise 3Dfindit
Are you passionate about solving engineering challenges and driving transformational change?
We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team and help manufacturing companies unlock the full potential of their engineering data. This is an opportunity to be a trusted advisor to engineering leaders, identifying pain points in their design workflows and demonstrating how our Enterprise 3Dfindit platform can deliver measurable business value.
Your mission: Present tailored solutions to technical and business audiences, showing how Enterprise 3Dfindit transforms the way engineers find, reuse, and manage their parts data. You’ll paint a picture of possibilities – from eliminating duplicate parts and reducing design time to enabling strategic parts management and driving cost savings.
What You’ll Demonstrate
Our Enterprise 3Dfindit platform offers advanced capabilities that revolutionize the design and sourcing process. As a Sales Engineer, you’ll showcase these key functions:
- Geometric Search Technology: Our unique ability to “fingerprint” and index thousands of existing 3D CAD parts, enabling engineers to discover and reuse similar or identical components through visual similarity search
- Commercial Parts Libraries: Access to millions of commercial parts from 1000+ certified manufacturer catalogs, plus industry standards (ASME, SAE, NAS, ISO, DIN, ANSI, etc.)
- Strategic Parts Management: Obsolescence management, preferred supplier optimization, and automated duplicate detection to streamline engineering workflows
- Enterprise Integration: Seamless integration with existing CAD, PLM, and ERP systems to create a unified parts management ecosystem
Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales (Primary Focus):
- Partner with the sales team to present solutions that address specific customer pain points
- Conduct discovery sessions to understand customer workflows, challenges, and requirements
- Create compelling demonstrations that showcase value and ROI potential
- Develop demonstration collateral including scripts, images, and videos
- Build trusted advisor relationships with engineering and IT stakeholders
Post-Sales Support:
- Conduct client workshops to dive deep and map out solutions aligned to customer environment and requirements
- Guide implementation and adoption for new customers
- Provide remote software installation and licensing support
- Deliver software updates and new content releases
- Ensure successful customer outcomes and expansion opportunities
Consultative Approach:
- Research and assess customer requirements through active listening
- Map customer workflows to identify integration points and optimization opportunities
- Develop detailed Statements of Work tailored to client specifications
- Create process workflows and technical documentation
- Serve as the lead technical consultant throughout the sales process
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- 1-5 years demonstrating technical software solutions to engineering audiences
- Strong understanding of product development processes and engineering workflows
- Experience with CAD software and PLM environments
- Proven ability to translate technical capabilities into business value
- Excellence in customer-facing presentations and relationship building
Essential Skills:
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively demonstrate complex software platforms
- Strong analytical skills to understand and dissect customer workflows
- Professional documentation and presentation creation capabilities
- Consultative selling approach with focus on solutions over features
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to customer needs
Education & Training:
- BS/BA in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
- CAD training or certifications a plus
- Willingness to travel moderately for customer meetings
Due to client and project requirements, applicants must be a U.S. citizen.
Preference given to applicants in the Cincinnati area who can be in the office 2-3 days / week.
